Columbus Zoo Investigates Elephant Death

A jumbo-sized loss for the Columbus Zoo, which is reporting the death of a seven-year-old Asian elephant. The zoo says Ganesh was found dead in his stall this morning when his keeper arrived for work. The cause of death wasn't immediately known. The animal had been on loan from Cincinnati's zoo, where he was born in 1998. He was moved up the road to Columbus in 2003 after becoming difficult to handle.
