Jharkhand government to start elephant Census next month

Jharkhand wildlife authorities are all set to begin a census of elephants in the wildlife sanctuaries across the State, starting May 1. The census is crucial for Jharkhand where the relations between elephants and humans have turned bellicose with almost 650 people trampled to death by elephants during the last six years.
